Studies & Projects

AidLearn has developed several projects and studies, either as coordinator or as a partner, both nationally and internationally.

Internationally

Project NATUR (2010 - 2012) - Lifelong Learning Programme, Leonardo da Vinci, Transfer of Innovation (ECOLL project), aiming to develop learning material, to be available online, to improve the competencies of key actors in the nature tourism sector. Coordinator: AidLearn; Partners: Vorumaa Kutsehariduskeskus (Estonia); Stg. ROC West-Brabant (Netherlands) and Cankiri Karatekin University (Turkey).

Project Learn+ (2009-2011)  - Lifelong Learning Programme, Grundtvig, aiming to create a blended course for adult educators on diversity management.  Coordinator: AidLearn. Partners: MERIG (Austria), Gazi University (TurKey) and Learning South West (United Kingdom).

Project DIVA, (2009-2011)  - Lifelong Learning Programme, Key Activity 4, aiming to create a handbook on the dissemination and valorisation of learning projects.  Partnership: FH Joanneum (promoter - Austria), MERIG (Austria), University degli studi di Genova (Italy), University of Vaasa (Finland), KaHo Sint-Lieven Associatie K.U. Leuven (Belgium), European Center for Quality (Bulgaria) and AidLearn (Portugal).

Project IOLI, (2009-2011)  - Lifelong Learning Programme, Grundtvig, aiming to create a manual on informal learning opportunities in Europe.  Partnership: University of Nicosia (promoter - Cyprus), Kairos (Spain), CESIE (Italy), Irish & Worlwide Adventures (Ireland), Platon Parents' Association (Greece), CLA (Italy), Marmara University (Turkey) and AidLearn (Portugal).

Project ProSkills, (2009-2011)  - Lifelong Learning Programme, Grundtvig, aiming to create a manual of good practices for using the art in training to support inclusion of people / disadvantaged groups in the labor market.  Partnership: Tecnopras (promoter - Italy), Fepamuc-Gu (Spain), Ekpaideftiria Kaloskami (Gréeece), University of Siauliai (Lithuania), Sisli Endustri Meslek Lisesi (Turkey) and AidLearn (Portugal).

Project LARA, (2008-2010)  - Lifelong Learning Programme, Grundtvig, created a learning package to prepare individuals to develop suitable competencies for ageing well and actively. Partnership: VHS Hamburger (promoter - Germany), Bia-Net (coordinator - Austria), University of Leicester (Reino Unido), ATHENA (Check Republic), ZDUS (Slovenia) and AidLearn (Portugal). Project TSESME
(2008-2010) - Lifelong Learning Programme, Leonardo da Vinci, Transfer of Innovation (TrainSME project), created a digital tool for performing training needs diagnosis into small and micro organisationa of the social economy. Coordinator: AidLearn; Partners: MERIG (Austria); Association Positive Mind (Latvia) and Gazi University (Turkey)   Compendium  Flyer 

Project Strategy Train, (2008-2010)- Lifelong Learning Programme, Leonardo da Vinci, created a blended learning course on strategic enterprise development targeted to managers of small enterprises. Partnership: MERIG (promoter - Austria), FH Joanneum Gesellschaft mbH (Austria), REDA (Bulgaria), LiNK MV (Germany), ATLANTIS (Greece), Institut of Levón (Finland), WestBic (Irleland) and AidLearn (Portugal).

Project ECPEFP , (2007-2009) - Leonardo da Vinci Programme, created a blended training course targeted to teachers to promote a peace culture in the school. Partnership: University of Gazi (promoter - Turkey), Documenta (Spain), VHS-Hamburger (Germany) and AidLearn (Portugal).

Project ICBLC, (2007) - Socrates Programme, disseminated projects on the subject by national and international workshops. Partnership: MERIG (promoter - Austria), ECQ (Bulgaria), EUREKA (Poland), Atlantis (Greece), FH Johanneum (Austria) and AidLearn (Portugal).

Project ALF, (2005-2008) - Socrates Programme, Grundtvig 2, learning partnerships, promoted and established communication networks to exchange training experiences among learners at informal level. Handbook  Partnership: ANDRAS (Promoter - Estonia), FEPAMUC (Spain), Tecnopras (Italy), Olimpiakek (Greece) and AidLearn (Portugal).

Nationally

Modular training in the Central region (2008-2010), Programme POPH (QREN), implementation of a Training Plan that included short courses, in a total of 26 actions: Hygiene and Food preparation; Regional Menus; Installation and operation of computer systems; Basic skills in ICT; Informatic's networks; Administrative practices; Informatics in the secretariat; Law in the work and Informatics at the office.

External evaluation of the project (2008): Awareness for Asylum and Refugees (Sensibilização para o Asilo e Refugiados), promoted by the CPR - Portuguese Centre for Refugees.

Training in ICT Basic Skills in Alentejo region (2007-2008), POS-Conhecimento, implementation of a Training Plan that included short courses and initial training, in a total of 17 actions: Initiation to ICT and Word; Initiation to ICT and Excel; Initiation to ICT and PowerPoint; Initiation to ICT, Outlook and Internet.

Training in ICT Basic Skills in Algarve region (2007-2008), POS-Conhecimento, implementation of a Training Plan that included short courses and initial training, in a total of 17 actions: Initiation to ICT and Word; Initiation to ICT and Excel; Initiation to ICT and PowerPoint; Initiation to ICT, Outlook and Internet; Initiation to ICT and Acess; Initiation to ICT and FrontPage; Initiation to ICT and Publisher.

Training in ICT Basic Skills in the Central region (2007), POS-Conhecimento, implementation of a Training Plan that included short courses and initial training, in a total of 18 actions: Initiation to ICT and Word; Initiation to ICT and Excel; Initiation to ICT and PowerPoint; Initiation to ICT, Outlook and Internet; Initiation to ICT and Access.

Project for Conception of Didactic Resources, (2006-2007), POEFDS, created didactic resources, including a simulator for competencies, manuals, interactive applications, exercises and case studies, for the distance training courses in Training Management and Training of Trainers. These courses are included in the AidLearn's offer.

Study: A Comunidade Islâmica em Portugal: Conhecer para Integrar, (2005-2007), POEFDS, which identified the social representations of Islamism between the islamic community and SME managers to promote the integration of islamic people in the labour market.

External evaluation of the AIRA project - Acolhimento e Integração de Refugiados (2006)- evaluation of the 2nd phase of the project, promoted by the CPR - Portuguese Center for Refugees, in partnership with ACIME, Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Lisbon and City Hall of Loures.

Project for Continuing Training of Adults and Trainers (2006), PORLVT, implementation of a training plan in the Lisboa and Vale do Tejo region, which included various courses, in a total of 6 actions: Improvement in Management and Human Resources Competencies; Emotional Competency Development and Motivation Strategies for Learning; Internet, Intranet and PowerPoint used for Pedagogical purposes; and  Improvement in Production and Use of Didactic Resources and Methods and Pedagogical Techniques.

Trainng Project in the Algarve region, (2006), POEFDS, implementation of a training plan that included various courses, in a total of 3 actions: Health, Hygiene and Safety at Work; Informatics I - Office Tools; and Informatics II.

Training Project in the Central region (2006), POEFDS, implementation of a training plan that included various courses, in a total of 2 actions: Health, Hygiene and Safety at Work; and Informatics II.

Training Project in the Algarve region (2005), POEFDS, implementation of a training plan that included various courses, in a total of 6 actions: Development of Entreperneuship competencies; Touristic English; Improvement in PowerPoint and Websites creation; Improvement in Group Dynamics and Methods and Pedagogical Techniques; Initial Pedagogical Training of Trainers.

Training Project in the Central region (2005), POEFDS, implementation of a training plan that included various courses, in a total of 2 actions: Management of Micro and Small Enterprises; and Management of Nursing Homes.
